“Jab! Faces of Fire, Masks of Memory” is an art show that draws a bold line from the ritualistic way the Jab in Trinidadian culture is masked through performance, gesture and surface — to the modern-day need to shape-shift through inherited identities, code-switching, and self-preservation. Including work by: Tessa Alexandra, Heidi McKenzie, Shalini Seereram, John Cadiz, Pixel Heller and a documentary screening of Jab by Elizabeth Topp
