Open Mic Poetry Night

Join us at Gallery 1065 for an evening of poetry exploring themes of death, mourning, and grief. Come to share your poetry or to listen.

As our planet fractures on multiple levels how do we come together to greive and mourn both collectively, and individually, as we too are of this planet? What lost rituals must be resserrected? What new ones can we conjure? How do we transmute grief? How do understand death?

Come share your poetry at Gallery 1065’s first Poetry Open Mic. Held in collaboration with the Shrines and Signs exhibit, on from October 9-19th with artists Mariam Magsi, Par Nair and Vishwa Pate. Poets of all backgrounds welcome. Sign up for a 5 min slot at 6:00.

Readings begins at 6:30.
