Opening reception Saturday February 7th 6pm
Elicser a.k.a Jabari Elliott a painter and mixed media artist from the Caribbean island of St. Vincent and Grenadines. He is one of the most prominent and prolific artists in the city, and his representations of people of colour living their lives happily despite their struggles have made city streets feel more friendly for more than 20 years now.
Poetry Night #5

Please join us on February 13th @ Gallery1065 to listen to & share poems inspired by the street and public art of Elicser.
Our next Poetry Open Mic @ Gallery 1065 coincides with Toronto-defining artist Elicser Elliott’s exhibit: Everything Everywhere All at Once Again and Again – which is also our theme for the night.
What does it mean to live in a quantum universe?
If we are all entangled, simultaneously waves and particles, becoming and unbecoming as our attention shifts, how do we leap between multiverses and what becomes possible when we understand there are no small things?
Please join us on February 13 to share and listen to poems about all the things happening around us, simultaneously and repeatedly. Come early to view the gallery and sign up for a 5 minute slot starting at 6 pm. Readings begin at 6:30.
Poets of all backgrounds welcome.
